National Preparedness Month

Ohio recognizes National Preparedness Month, and encourages all to be prepared to handle emergencies and disasters. In radio, we have a particular power and responsibility to help many. That's what the BLACK SWAN series of exercises and the training program to support it is all about.

It's not just a question of whether you're ready.

The question is what exactly are you ready to do? Ready doesn't mean that you've thought about it. Ready doesn't mean you spent some money on gear. Ready doesn't mean that you've got a plan. Ready means that you've practiced the very tasks that you would be performing, in realistic operating conditions.

Are you ready to communicate on behalf of your neighborhood? An agency? Others? With whom will you communicate? How?

Time is almost out to register your station for BLACK SWAN 21. Register now!
