Ohio AUXC Qualification
Auxiliary Communicator (AUXC) is an individual qualification designed to specify a Typed Resource compliant with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) via the National Qualification System (NQS). Its prerequisite is the Auxiliary Communications (AUXCOMM) course delivered by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
The first AUXC qualification course in Ohio began with 19 trainees in October 2023. Thirteen graduated the 23-week course as AUXC candidates. Candidates with complete AUXC Position Task Books (PTB) were deemed fully qualified to the standard as evidenced by the PTB signed by the Communications-Electronics Program Manager at Ohio Military Reserve, The Adjutant General's Department, State of Ohio for:

The second AUXC qualification course began 1 November 2024 and is scheduled to continue for 23 weeks, concluding at the end of March 2025.
A third AUXC qualification course is expected to begin 1 November 2025 and to run for 23 weeks. Watch this space for acceptance of applications, expected to begin in September 2025.
