SIGOBSREP

Just as we sometimes make weather or situation observations, we might need to report an observed signal (or the lack of a signal on a monitored frequency).  We introduce the SIGOBSREP, Signal Observation Report, format for this purpose. It includes:

• Position of the receiving antenna

• Source of the observation (e.g., whether local or via Internet-connected receiver)

• Frequency of the observation

• Bandwidth of the signal

• Type of signal

• Additional commentary, e.g., to report an observation period, detected operating schedules, or direction of signals.
